Salary Range:
£18,000 to £20,000 per annum

Working hours: Full time / 35 hours week

The Community Foundations is an independent charity which promotes local giving to address local disadvantage. 

 

As Business Development Executive, your role will be varied and interesting; providing community and commercial research support for the Chief Executive and Community Philanthropy Director as well as operational and administrative support for New Business, Donor Care, and Special Projects.

 

Under the guidance of the Chief Executive, you will particularly support the delivery of our community leadership work, specialising in developing the Community Foundations’ commercial focus and understanding of local social needs. Your priorities will be to conduct commercial and community research to support existing and potential stakeholders of the Community Foundations.

 

Your role will include project managing our annual Vital Signs publication to further our work in increasing donor growth and retention. You will also be required to provide wide-ranging administrative support to our Community Philanthropy Team to enable them to facilitate and advise on our growing number of donor advised funds and foundations – including networking with key stakeholders when appropriate.

 

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating tailored research reports; they will be skilled in the effective use of research tools; and they will be highly proficient in information management. They will possess a degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent professional experience) and experience of working or volunteering within a charitable/public/social sector setting would be advantageous.
