10. Can we apply to take our beneficiaries on holiday in this country or abroad?

Generally you cannot use the grant to take people abroad unless a case can be made as to why the activity cannot take place within the UK. However, you can use grants to fund activities anywhere in this country that have a clear educational benefit.
