The Tilney Bestinvest Fund

Tilney Bestinvest and the Community Foundation for Merseyside are pleased to announce the latest round of the Tilney Bestinvest Fund. If you are a local voluntary or community group based in Merseyside and need funding for a project focusing primarily on young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or are at risk of becoming NEET the Tilney Bestinvest Fund may be able to help.

FUND AREA

Groups based and operating in Merseyside and Halton

FUND THEME

The aim of the Tilney Bestinvest Fund is to support community and voluntary groups in the Merseyside area for projects that are working with disadvantaged young people, particularly those young people who are NEET. All young people who are NEET, or in danger of becoming so, will be considered.

Priority will be given to projects that can demonstrate a transition into employment - The panel are looking to support projects that aim to develop NEET young peoples skills, qualifications and experiences but they would also like to see how these new skills, qualifications and experiences will be applied post project to help the young person in any further education, employability or training.

Examples of projects that may be considered include those that work with young people to offer educational support or opportunities, projects that enable young people to develop essential life skills such as financial literacy and projects that enable young people to develop employability/enterprise skills.

GRANT SIZE

Grants are available for between £3000 and £5000.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Community groups, voluntary organisations, charities, community interest companies and social enterprises may apply. Applicants annual income must be less than £250,000.

This is because there are limited funds available and we do not want to disappoint too many applicants.
