Tilney and the Community Foundation for Merseyside are pleased to announce the latest round of the Tilney Fund. If you are a local voluntary or community group based in Merseyside or Halton and need funding for a project focusing primarily on improving the lives of local young people the Tilney Fund may be able to help.
Groups based and operating in Merseyside and Halton
The aim of the Tilney Fund in Merseyside and Halton is to make a significant, positive impact on young peoples lives by supporting educational initiatives, as well as health and wellbeing and employability projects in the local community.
Priority will be given to applicants that demonstrate how their project will make a difference to beneficiaries lives, eg if a young person gains new skills, qualifications or experiences how these will be applied post project such as through guaranteed work experience/interviews etc. Also please note the Tilney Fund panel are keen to see applications for projects that will result in some form of qualification or accreditation.
Grants are available for upto £5000
Who can apply?
Community groups, voluntary organisations, charities, community interest companies and social enterprises may apply. Applicants annual income must be less than £500,000.
Documents which need to be included with your application:
1. A copy of the group’s rules or constitution
2. A copy of the group’s latest annual accounts or income/expenditure document
3. A copy of a recent bank statement for your group
4. A copy of the group’s current Safeguarding Policy. All applicants must ensure that they hold relevant policies and procedures in place to undertake activities, such as Criminal Records Bureau checks and/or a health and safety policy, depending on proposed activity. If you have received a grant from us in the last 12months and have already submitted copies of the above documents, you do not need to send them in again. However, a bank statement is required with every application and please ensure your annual accounts are the most recent version.
