03.09.09: Mando Group's creative approach to employability

Award-winning Liverpool based web design and application development agency, Mando Group, has partnered with local charity, Community Foundation for Merseyside in order to promote education and employability in young people across Merseyside.

Mando Group has created their own charitable fund administered by the Community Foundation, called The Mando Group Foundation which will award grants of £2,000 to local community and voluntary groups within Merseyside. This innovative new fund will compliment the ongoing philanthropic work that Mando Group already does within the communities of Merseyside.

Speaking of their newly established fund, Matt Johnson, Managing Director, from Mando Group said: “We see corporate social responsibility as a natural extension to what we stand for as an organisation. We are dedicated to improving Merseyside’s communities and see this foundation as a way in which to do so. This is just the beginning of The Mando Group Foundation. We want to make a difference within local communities and believe we can do so by working in partnership with the Community Foundation.”

The fund will compliment current activities being undertaken by the Community Foundation who have now distributed close to £1 million into Merseyside’s communities in a bid to target worklessness and progress individuals towards employment via its Employable Communities Fund.

Jack Miller, Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager from the Community Foundation for Merseyside said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with such a forward thinking, modern company as Mando Group. They have demonstrated their commitment to Merseyside for many years and are now looking to further support local voluntary and community groups via their newly established Mando Group Foundation.”

Local community and voluntary groups will be able to apply for grants from The Mando Group Foundation as early as September.
