Finance and Admin Officer
Based: Bootle, Merseyside
Salary: £13,000 to £19,000 plus pension and other benefits,
dependant on experience
Fixed Contract: 12 months
As one of the largest Community Foundation’s in the UK, we distribute over £3.5 million of small grants each year across Merseyside and Lancashire, making awards to around 1,000 voluntary and community projects on behalf of a variety of donors.
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable team player with excellent administration and customer service skills and some finance experience, to support the Finance & Admin team over the next twelve months.
The role involves working within the Finance and Admin Team distributing grant payments to beneficiaries, completing returns to funding bodies, monitoring grants budgets and supporting the Grants and Development teams. Other duties include supporting events and attending external meetings, as required.
You will report to the Finance & Admin Manager.
Essential experience and knowledge includes GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent, Microsoft office packages, especially excel and access databases, financial management, and excellent time management skills, along with the ability to use your own initiative and work under pressure with fluctuating work loads.
Desirable experience and knowledge includes knowledge of grant administration and the voluntary and community sector.
