Mando Group's 'Awesome Challenge'
Employees Use Creativity to Raise Funds
The Mando Group Foundation distributes grants to voluntary or community groups that are delivering activities which will enhance education or employability for young people.
The firm, created by two Liverpool John Moores graduates in 1997 and now based at Liverpool Science Park with 45 staff, will donate 10% of its profits to the foundation, .
Mando has launched ‘The Awesome £100 Challenge’, which each employee handed £100 and challenged to grow that fund as much as they can.
Mando Group’s chief executive Matt Johnson said: “We’ve started the Mando Group Foundation as a way for our company and our staff to make a positive difference.
“The challenge should be a lot of fun for everyone and promises to raise many thousands of pounds for good causes”.
Some examples of activities run by staff include:
- Amalie Hughes has researched, written, designed and published a recipe book and is selling them for £7 each, follow this link to see the preview of Amalie's Handy Little Book of Tried and Tested Recipes
- Kevin Walker is holding a charity raffle for an Everton Shirt Signed by the entire first team squad
- John Livingston has got his hands on a brand new Ipad and is holding an online raffle here
- While two members of staff joined together for a 'Fab Frock Swap Shop'
