Liverpool ONE Foundation: Children and Young People’s Mental Health

The Liverpool ONE Foundation is one of the funds administered by the Community Foundation for Merseyside. The aim of the Liverpool ONE Foundation is to see a decrease in children and young people in Merseyside suffering with poor mental health.

They aim to do this by giving grants to organisations supporting children and young people, encouraging prevention, raising awareness and reducing stigma and convening organisations working in this area to ensure needs are being met. The Liverpool One Foundation will be open for applications in late Autum 2019.

As part of their aim to raise awareness of mental health, the Liverpool ONE Foundation worked with Radio City and a group of young people from Merseyside Youth Association (https://www.mya.org.uk) and YPAS (http://www.ypas.org.uk) to create some pieces for radio to try and encourage people to talk more about mental health.

The Liverpool ONE Foundation understands that looking after your mental health can be difficult and if you are not feeling great, it can be hard to know where to turn. Below is a list of different organisations and directories which can signpost you to help that is available. There is a mixture of online content and organisations that offer a variety of services. We encourage you to seek help, whether it be for yourself, your child or someone you know, as there are some amazing organisations and resources out there.
